Baucis: A Tale of Childhood Near the River Po

An Invitation

Our story is simple, about a boy and a girl.

They go about their lives, looking and playing, building and drawing, telling stories to each other and to themselves, and to anyone else who happens to be within earshot. And through their stories, lives are changed, discoveries made, and the world is transformed.

It's a story about possibilities and wonder, and we invite you to share it with us…

Our work is nearly done - the story is written and the images are almost finished. As soon as it’s ready, we will share it with you. For now, here are some glimpses of Baucis: A Tale of Childhood Near the River Po

Seven Days March.

Filled with thoughts and detours along the way, this blog shares all things Baucis.

A Little Bit About Us...

John Noble is a father, an architect, and an avid reader. He spends his days inventing spaces in which young children can learn and thrive, that support exploration and curiosity, and, hopefully, resonate with (in) them like life-long friends. He grew up exploring the outdoors - in boats, on trails, and just goofing around. He lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife and two dogs and visits his kids whenever he can.

THE ILLUSTRATOR

Charlie Padgett is an award-winning illustrator from Cincinnati, Ohio, currently living near Bordeaux, France. His artwork has appeared in The New York Times, the BBC, La Vie, and Scientific American, among others.
